Associate Professor Andreas Scheba
Associate Professor Andreas Scheba is an urban and housing scholar with a PhD in Development Policy and Management from the University of Manchester. He is a Senior Research Specialist in the Equitable Education and Economies Division of the Human Sciences Research Council, and Associate Professor in the Centre for Development Support at the UFS. He is a core member of the CCRE. His research focuses on urban land and housing, equitable cities and inclusive economic development, with growing experience in comparative studies across the global North and South. He has expertise in qualitative, participatory and engaged research methods, and enjoys working in inter- and transdisciplinary teams. He led the development of the Social Housing Portal (socialhousingportal.org.za) and has disseminated his research widely in academic journal articles, book chapters, research reports, policy briefs, newspaper articles, conference presentations, documentaries and other creative outputs.
